Ray R. in Church today
Our host missionary for our trip this summer, Ray R., was in church today and shared his excitement about his own ministry in Spain as well as our time with him this July. In a brief time in the pulpit Ray was able to communicate his heart to our people and met with many of them after the service. He is a likable guy and probably has gotten many others excited about our trip. We hope that the training coming up will be sufficient for us and that our needs are completely met by the congregation, friends, family. These things we must assuredly leave to the Lord.

First meeting went well

Our first meeting as a team took place last night and we had the privilege to meet with our host missionary Ray R. who walked us through all the material we will be passing out and shared with us the difficulty and rewards of trying to share Christ with the traveling Muslim in Spain. Ray answered all our questions from language barriers to clothing and culture. Ray's PowerPoint presentation, the dessert and the time of sharing were all confirmations of our love for each other and our commitment to this ministry. With the addition of Larry V we now have 5 men going which should create a great team spirit and add to our effectiveness.

Meeting with Ray
Tonight the men who will be going to Spain and their wives will meet with Ray who will host us in Spain and lead us through the "Operation Transit" experience as well as the ministry at the World Expo in Zaragoza. There are now 5 of us going as Larry V. joined us this week since God allowed his schedule for the summer to clear up. Also, since we were limited to a total of 6 it was great to see that we could get 5 men from our church to go. Support seems high and we all anticipate a wonderful time of ministry together. More news tommorrow abouit our meeting with Ray. Pray for us and our planning as well as for our host and his family and ministry in Spain.
Prayerfully-

The team meets for a Sader
The team will meet for a Sader meal together. That will be the unofficial beginning of our time together. We are all looking forward to our trip to Spain and our opportunity to share our faith with others, especially those of Islamic background.
Of course, we are also interested in the cultural aspects of the trip and look forward to the people, the sights, the food and the fellowship we will have with Spanish believers. But ahead of us are many days of prayer, study, preparations and bonding. We all are looking forward to the challenge and the victory.
